Corrosion-resistant 304 Stainless Steel. This means that rain or shine, the product won't rust or corrode.
Deck'Umbs can be installed in various decking materials, including your typical wood, alternative material decks (e.g. Eon), concrete patios, and concrete pool aprons.
Nope! Deck'umbs are compatible with 1"-1.5" in diameter standard and cantilever umbrellas. That means you can dump your old umbrella stand but keep your favourite umbrella! New! By popular request, we have also created a Deck'Umbs holder which is compatible with umbrella poles up to 2" in diameter!
Deck'Umbs were designed with all weather in mind. Once they are securely installed on your deck, they can keep an umbrella from flying away without damaging your deck. Being sensible is always important, so we still advise our customers to close their umbrellas on an especially windy day. With that said, Deck'Umbs have been tested during heavy wind and we are proud to say that no umbrellas were lost and no decks damaged!
Absolutely! We recommend that someone familiar with power-tools perform the installation on your deck. If you are not comfortable installing it yourself, a contractor or decking company will be happy to assist you!
We thought of everything! Deck'Umbs have a drain at the bottom to ensure that no water is caught in there.
Depending on the size of your deck or patio, you may want a few locations for Deck'Umbs bases. Because all Deck'Umbs are low profile when not in use, installing a few of them around your deck or patio ensures that you can move your umbrellas around to maximize shade. We've installed two Deck'Umbs on our 150 sq.ft. deck to ensure there is shade all day long!
Deck'Umbs weigh less than 5 pounds! I know, I know, you're used to 50lb to 300lb umbrella stands, and so 5 lbs. does not sound that secure. Because Deck'Umbs are secured to your sturdy deck joists or installed in your concrete patio, they are incredibly stable.
Deck'Umbs are the lightweight champs of the umbrella stand world, and were designed for ease of use.
Nope! All Deck'Umbs come with a small, secure cover. Also, who said "gaping hole"? The size of the hole is less than 3" in diameter.
